How Translator Live works:

1. You enter your profile including your experience, your languages, and your hourly rate. 
2. We display your profile to our clients.  The client reviews the profiles of our interpreters.  For this reason you should put a detailed profile including your skills, experience, specializations and personal characteristics. We mark up your hourly rate from the rate you identify. For example: if your hourly rate is $20, we may display a rate of $30 per hour on your public profile.  The percentage markup is at our absolute discretion.  This percentage markup may vary across languages or across interpreters or translators.  We pay based on the rate you identify, not the rate we charge the client.
3. The client requests a booking.  Your availability is entered in two ways: if you are an online on our site and the client may book you in for an immediate assignment.  If you are not online the client made review your availability and book you wean for the future assignment.  You will receive notification of your assignments by e-mail and you must confirm acceptance of those assignments.
4. You confirm acceptance of the booking.  You will need to be on the onlinetranslatorlive.com site and have a Status of "Online" on Skype for to accept on-call bookings.   Bookings will use our online booking system and be received via phone call.  We will rely on the information that you have provided regarding your availability. 
5. You conduct the session and report back the actual time spent performing the interpreting assignment.  This is validated with the client.
6. Payment is made at the end of each month on approved and validated work.
7. The client has a right to cancel.  No payment will be made for canceled assignments.
8. We have the right to remove you from the service at any time for any reason.  No correspondence will be entered into recounting the reasons for removal.

Job Requirements

Skype Account is Required.

Before you sign up, please ensure you have a Skype account and that your Skype account works.  You need to ensure that the Voice capability of Skype works.  This means both your microphone and your headset.  This will be required as part of the sign up process.

Telephone Access is Required.

Our clients may call you via Skype or on a telephone.  Our preference is that you provide both a landline and a cellular (mobile) phone number as part of the registration.

Internet Access is Required.

We determine your availability based on whether you are on our site and whether you are marked as available on Skype.

PayPal Account is Required.

We will pay our translators and interpreters in the way we deem appropriate.  We may pay you via paypal.
